IMathAS Accessibility

The IMathAS web platform complies with Section 508 Guidelines and WCAG1.0 Priority 1 Accessibility Guidelines (with the exception of 6.3: IMathAS requires Javascript to operate).

Additionally, IMathAS provides a text-based login option that automatically creates textual descriptions of most dynamically created graphs and charts, and when available utilizes MathML with MathPlayer for equation screenreading.

Individual questions are written by users and may not meet all Priority 1 Guidelines. Some question types, such as drawing answer entry and 3D graph display, are not accessible.

This statement is made based on the good faith intepretation of the Guidelines by the developers, and should not be construed as a guarantee or warranty.

IMathAS development is lead by David Lippman with partial support from the WA State E-Learning Council, the Transition Math Project, and Pierce College.
